Description
Designed for industrial applications, Grablink Avenue acquires images from digital cameras complying with the Camera Link standard. Line-scan and area-scan, progressive and interlaced, grayscale and RGB color cameras can be interfaced in applications using a Grablink Avenue board.
Grablink Avenue interfaces to Base configuration Camera Link cameras rated from 20 to 85 MHz, single, dual or quadruple tap, with 8-, 10-, 12-, 14- and 16-bit data.
Grablink Avenue has an on-board 32 MB memory and is available as a 64-bit, 66 MHz Conventional PCI board that offers 240 MByte/s of data delivery bandwidth. It fully complies with FCC and CE EMC electromagnetic compatibility international standards.
In many applications, a line-scan camera has to be operated at a constant cycling rate in order to maintain a constant sensitivity. Grablink Avenue implements ADR Advanced Downweb Resampling, a unique feature, yielding a defined aspect ratio irrespective of web speed variations, even without an electronic shutter on the camera.
A built-in rate converter accommodates an off-the-shelf motion encoder to control the line acquisition process, enabling any programmable aspect ratio, including perfect square pixels. ADR makes the most of the line-scan camera, as the sensitivity is not impaired by the shuttering.
In addition to the camera interface, Grablink Avenue exposes multiple general purpose I/O lines to ease the board integration in industrial systems. Available in parallel on a standard HD-26 bracket connector and on the internal header, there are 2 isolated I/O with their associated power supply, 2 differential inputs with high common-mode tolerance, 1 opto-isolated output and 4 logical I/O.
Euresys provides MultiCam interface to operate Grablink Avenue on various Windows and Linux operating systems. Through this interface, Grablink Avenue acquires images easily and efficiently for your application.
