PCI Requirements

PCI stands for "Peripheral Component Interconnect" and refers to standardized means to interconnect an add-on board inside a computer.

Picolo Junior 4 is a PCI card to be inserted in a standard PCI slot inside a PC. The PCI edge connector is compliant with the official PCI specification, revision 2.1. It is 32-bit wide, operates at 33 MHz maximum, and accepts only 5 V signaling system.

Picolo Junior 4 can be used in a 32-bit or 64-bit PCI slot. The usable bus width is 32 bits in both situations.

For more information, refer to the PCI Bus Variation technology note.

Picolo Junior 4 uses the +5 V power supply rail provided by the PCI bus.

Typical electrical consumption is as follows:

PCI power rail

+5 V

Current

280 mA

Power

1.4 W

Total power consumption is typically 1.4 W.
