Individual Control
Picolo Alert and Picolo Diligent are capable of an advanced mode of operation called individual control.
When individual control is activated, the capture hardware provides two independent image streams coming from the same camera.
The settings accessible through the property pages and the interfaces affect preview and capture pins independently.
Notes. The individual control capabilities vary with the capture hardware. Individual control is a hardware capability. It involves no CPU activity.
Examples
On Picolo Diligent you can configure the Euresys source filter as follows:
- the capture pin produces a real-time full-resolution MPEG-4 compressed media stream for disk storage or network broadcast.
- the preview pin produces real time uncompressed video stream connected directly to a video renderer.
On Picolo Alert, you can configure the Euresys source filter as follows:
- the capture pin produces full-resolution images at reduced capture rate (for example: 4 images per second) for storage on the hard disk.
- the preview pin produces real time CIF video for display.
