Introduction
The split cable allows the connection of cameras with upstream and/or downstream control signals as secondary camera.
This feature is applicable on connectors for which BoardTopology declares a split camera topology. Namely:
- Domino Alpha 2, BoardTopology = 1_11 on camera connector Y
- Domino Alpha 2, BoardTopology = 2_11 on camera connector Y
- Domino Alpha 2, BoardTopology = 11_11 on camera connectors X and Y
Following new MultiCam parameters are introduced:
- Board object: Cable<X,Y>Topology that declares the signal sets of camera cable.
- The Cable<X,Y>Topology parameter is an expert-level parameter in the board information category.
- Channel class: CameraSignalSet that returns the camera signal set .
- The CameraSignalSet parameter is an expert-level get-only parameter in the Camera Features category.
Channel class: CableTopology that lists the signals used by both cameras. The CableTopology parameter is an expert-level get- only parameter in the Cable Features category.
Setting Cable<X,Y>Topology can be skipped in following situations:
- When a single camera is used on the connector
- When the secondary camera on the connector uses only one video signal. In this situation, CameraSignalSet is 100.
