Camera Power

Each camera connector makes possible to deliver a supply voltage to the camera (or cameras) connected to it.

The power supply is delivered from an on-board connector referred to as the Power connector. This connector is linked to the host PC power supply thanks to a standard 5 V/12 V disk-drive power connection. Only the 12 V voltage is used.

In this manner, the current drawn by the set of cameras is not extracted from the PCI connector of the Domino Harmony board.

It is recommended not exceed a current consumption of 600 mA per camera connector. In any case, the total current for both connectors should imperatively be limited to 2 A.

It is mandatory to reserve the use of PGND to the current return path of the camera supply.

The pin 6 (PGND) should not be used as a signal ground. If the camera is powered by the board, then the pin 6 (PGND) pin should be connected the power supply return terminal at the camera. The power return terminal can be named "0 V", "Power Ground", "12 V Return" or similarly.
