Introduction

Grablink Quickpack CFA supports two MultiCam acquisition modes.

Snapshot

The Snapshot acquisition mode enables you to acquire individual frames repeatedly. Each frame is a snapshot of the observed scene at a particular instant. The Snapshot mode is the recommended acquisition mode for most of the machine vision applications.

The upper limit of the frame rate is 500 frames per second for snapshot. Only the HFR acquisition mode is able to sustain acquisition rate exceeding this limit.

High Frame Rate (HFR)

The HFR acquisition mode enables you to acquire individual frames from very fast cameras. The frame duration might be too short to allow software interaction each time a frame is acquired. In that case, a number of frames are grouped in a single data set delivered to the host memory. The HFR mode is the alternative mode for most of the machine vision applications when the frame is rate is so high that the interrupt system of the Host PC might be saturated.

The upper limit of the frame rate is 127,500 (= 500 * 255) frames per second.
