Camera Link Serial Communication
Grablink Quickpack CFA boards provide a full-duplex 8-N-1 asynchronous serial communication link with the camera through the Camera Link cable.
Note. 8-N-1 is a common shorthand notation for a serial port parameter setting or configuration in asynchronous mode, in which there are eight (8) data bits, no (N) parity bit, and one (1) stop bit.
The baud rate of the serial communication is selectable.

Take note on the following:
- On Windows operating systems, the serial link can be operated via COM port emulation or via the Camera Link 1.1 DLL.
- Before operating the link via COM port emulation, it is mandatory to assign a COM port number by means of Board class parameter SerialControlA.
- To operate the link via the Camera Link 1.1 DLL, it is mandatory to get a copy of the clallserial.dll and to place the Euresys supplied clseremc.dll in the same directory.
- On Linux operating systems, the serial link can be operated using the Euresys supplied library libclseremc.so.
