Selecting a Template for Line-Scan Cameras

For cameras having no electronic shutter, it is mandatory to use one of the four templates using the LxxxxSP or the LxxxxRP config. If the camera allows grabber controlled line rate, the LxxxxRP offers the capability to control the exposure time using Channel parameters of the Exposure Control category. Furthermore, when combined with DownWeb Resampling, it is possible to control also the vertical resolution.

For camera having an electronic shutter, it is required to use the LxxxxRC or LxxxxRG config. The LxxxRG offers the advantage to control the exposure time using Channel parameters of the Exposure Control category. Both configs allow a separate control of the camera line rate providing that the line period remains greater than the exposure time.
