Strobes
Picolo Alert can generate external signals synchronized with the image acquisition to interact with other parts of an industrial system. Different I/O lines and different conditions can be configured to activate these external signals.
On Picolo Alert, only channels created on camera connectors 1, 2, 3 or 4 can have a strobe line. If used, the strobe output lines are dedicated to each connector.
MultiCam Parameters
- For channels associated to connectors VID1, VID2, VID3 or VID4, the StrobeMode parameter can be set to:
- NONE: the strobe function is not used,
- MAN: the strobe signal is issued according to the following settings,
- OFF: the strobe function is used and the output line is reserved, but no signal is issued.
- The StrobeCtl parameter defines the electrical interface and can be set only to RELAY.
- The StrobeLevel parameter can be set only to CLOSED, so the contact stays open until a strobe pulse is generated by closing the output contact.
- The strobe line is associated to an I/O line with the parameter StrobeLine that can be set to:
- NOM,
- OUT1 for video input VID1 and NOM,
- OUT2 for video input VID2 and NOM,
- OUT3 for video input VID3 and NOM,
- OUT4 for video input VID4.
- The strobe pulse frequency is defined by the StrobeField parameter. This parameter can be set to:
- BOTH to issue a strobe pulse with every field,
- UP or DOWN to issue a strobe pulse with every down or up field.
The default value is automatically computed from the GrabField and the AccumulationMode parameters.
