Triggers
This board provides a number of means to start and stop the acquisition of images or sequences. Different I/O lines with a variety of electrical interfaces, and different conditions, can be configured to trigger the beginning or the end of acquisitions.
MultiCam Parameters
- In the SNAPSHOT or in the HFR mode:
- the TrigMode parameter can be set to IMMEDIATE, HARD, SOFT or COMBINED,
- the NextTrigMode parameter can be set to REPEAT, HARD, SOFT or COMBINED.
- The TrigCtl parameter defines the electrical interface. It can be set to:
- TTL for a TTL compliant input line,
- ITTL for a TTL compliant isolated input line,
- I12V for a 12 V-logic isolated input line.
- The polarity of the electrical signal that activates a trigger is selected with the TrigEdge parameter. This parameter can be set to GOHIGH or GOLOW.
- The trigger line is associated to an I/O line with the TrigLine parameter. It can be set to:
- A noise removal filter is available for all trigger lines. Its time constant is selected with the TrigFilter parameter. This parameter can be set to OFF, MEDIUM or STRONG.
- A delay can be inserted when the camera is operated in asynchronous mode. The delay (expressed in μs) is specified with the TrigDelay_us parameter.
Notes
In the SNAPSHOT mode, the EndTrigMode parameter is set to AUTO, and the BreakEffect parameter is set to FINISH.
In the HFR mode, the EndTrigMode parameter is set to AUTO, and the BreakEffect parameter can be set to ABORT or FINISH.
The EndTrigCtl, EndTrigLine and EndTrigFilter possible values are the same as the corresponding TrigCtl, TrigLine and TrigFilter values.
